TUDI Honored with First Place Awards by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette
October 5, 2011
On October 5th, TUDI Mechanical Systems was presented with two first place awards by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
TUDI was voted #1 workplace for employees who think that their employer
operates by strong values and ethics and #1 Workplace - Small Business,
50-149 Employees. "This is a great honor, not only to be named the top
workplace in Pittsburgh, but especially being named the #1 workplace
for operating by strong values and ethics", said Bob Tudi, CEO of TUDI
Mechanical Systems.
The Pittsburgh Post Gazette Top Workplaces of 2011 process began in
June, when a company resume was submitted, highlighting what sets TUDI
apart from other companies in the Pittsburgh area. Heat for the Needy,
our annual philanthropy, providing free furnaces to needy families in
the area was one key point noted in the resume. Also stated was 100%
health care coverage, fitness programs, fitness center in the basement
of the building, weekly trainings and numerous team building events.
"It has to be stated that the golf outings, holiday parties, fishing
trips and charitable events bring the TUDI employees closer together,
making it feel more like a family not work atmosphere" explained Jim
Duch, Vice President of Sales.
The Top Workplaces process concluded with every employee completing a
comprehensive survey covering compensation, ethics, and leadership, just
to name a few. Every employee completed the survey completely and
honestly, giving TUDI one of the highest percentage rates of employee
survey participation. The information tallied from the surveys
inevitably led to the #1 ranking for strong values and ethics and best
workplace.
